NDSU Wrestling Climbs to No. 15, Highest NWCA Ranking in Div. 1 era

MANHEIM, Penn. – The North Dakota state wrestling program moved up three spots in the latest NWCA Division I Wrestling Coaches Top 25 poll this week, earning its highest ranking of the Division I era at No. 15.

The previous high for the bison was 18 last week, which was one spot above 19 after the first week. Previously, the Bison had never surpassed No. 19 in the NWCA Coaches Poll.

The Bison gained three more places after beating Binghamton 18-13 last week. The Bison are 2-0 on the season after opening the year with a win at then-No. 8 Nebraska, 20-16.

The state of North Dakota is scheduled to return to action on Friday, December 9, when the bison are welcomed at No. 13 Scheels Center in Minnesota.
