It’s week 13 of the college football season, with rivalry week coming up. Few rivalry games are bigger than the annual Old Oaken Bucket Game between the Purdue Boilermakers and the Indiana Hoosiers.

The 2022 Old Oaken Bucket game is scheduled for week 13 of the college football season. The contest will take place on Saturday, November 26th at 3:30pm ET. The game will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network.
Our Old Oaken Bucket Prediction comes from The Duel’s Official Purdue vs Indiana betting preview.
Indiana rebounded from a 24-7 halftime deficit at Michigan State to force OT and win 39-31 last week. A 79-yard TD run and an 88-yard kickoff return TD were big plays in the win. Purdue has had two underperforming offensive performances in the past two weeks, but generated a 380-yard offensive offense against the top Fighting Illini defense in Illinois in a 31-24 win on Nov. 12.
Indiana’s very poor rushing attack is putting more pressure on now-supporting QB Dexter Williams II, who had just 31 passing yards in last week’s misleading win. The Hoosiers allowed Michigan State nearly 550 yards on balance, and Purdue plans to hit nearly 450 yards of offense in the win.
Indiana Defense (450 YPG) and Pass Defense (272 YPG) are last in the Big Ten. And the Hoosiers don’t have a quarterback to save them on offense. Hoosiers’ inexperienced QB Williams made his first start last week and has shown little passing ability in three games this season (12/37 for 179 yards and 2 INTs). Now he’s trying to match against Aidan O’Connell, the Big Ten’s leading passer (283 passing YPG), and that rivalry is back in Purdue’s direction.
